Ordering and recieving your first spider

When you find a jumping spider that you would like on my website, be sure to take note of the species, feeder insect, locale (if any), and instar that will be in the description of the listing. Be aware that L5/L6 spiders are still very small, and will need to be housed in a small enclosure. I use vented smoothie cups for this, which you will be able to find for sale in the shop section of the website. Make sure you are equipped to deal with a spider of the sp. and instar you have chosen. You are welcome to email me, or message me via facebook if you have any questions.

You will be able to find the next delivery date listed on the homepage of the website. If this is not convenient for you, please leave a note on your order, or email me to let me know which day would be best for you. (Please be aware that I can only deliver on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.)

The day before your delivery date, your spider will be fed, watered, and packed safely into their travel pots, ready for their journeys. If I find that your spider is getting ready to moult, I will email you to rearrange your delivery day.

Tracking details will be sent the day before your order is due to arrive. Usually the email will arrive just after 3pm, but can sometimes be a little later.

When your box arrives, carefully open, and remove the packing peanuts. Your spider will be inside a spiderling vial padded with tissue paper. Set up any enclosures, remove the lid of the vial and place the vial inside the enclosure. Your spider can then leave the vial in their own time. Sometimes travelling can cause a spider to moult. If this has happened, don't panic, just follow the steps above and allow the spider to come out in their own time.
